Creamed mushrooms

Mushrooms are an excellent source of selenium.


Mushrooms, one 8 ounce package
Butter, 2 tablespoons
Onion, 1 small, chopped
Cream, 1/4 cup


Wash mushrooms and trim off the stems. Thinly slice the mushrooms.

Melt the butter in a saucepan. Add the onion and the the mushrooms on top, and then salt and pepper. Cover the pan. Turn the heat to high. When steam starts coming out, take off the cover. Simmer for 6 minutes. Add the heavy cream and cook another 2 minutes. Makes 2 to 4 servings.
